What is a smart photo?

The Idea

The idea for smart photos came from a seldom held family reunion. We all posed for a group photo which ended up on the net. The problem was that, although everyone could see the photo, no one of us knew who everyone in the photo was and how they were related to the family.

It was clear that the photo needed to be smart enough to allow collaboration so that everyone could be identified.

Our software does just that! Using a function of the web known as an image map, the program identifies areas of a group photo to indicate the individuals in the group. Anyone viewing the photo can then single out an individual and add or view additional information about that person - even additional photos if desired.
